Artist's note
ANGELINA SKON – Director Angelina Skon is a London-based director and actor, originally from Russia. She has directed three short films—Orange, The Road of Squares, and Rays of the Flower. In 2024, she co-founded UPOTHEATRE, creating original physical theatre. Their debut production, Unseen Portrait of the Heart, toured Cambridge, Chichester Fringe, and Camden Fringe. She is currently developing her fourth short film, Aquarium, and devising the theatre production Ungetridofable.
About the work
AN ORANGE // 2025 He sinks his teeth into the juicy fruit — and the sticky orange juice runs down his hand. Her body is wounded; it remembers cruel touches, absorbing them , and leaves scars on her delicate flesh — marks she will never be able to erase.
