Mother and Son

Description

This work explores the theme of neglect. A hat is depicted, and a child is shown attempting to eat a rat, yet the mother gazes with a slightly cruel expression and chooses to do nothing. She neglects the situation. People tend to regard parental responsibility with great weight. When parents fail to fulfill that role, we feel immediate discomfort. It is a harsh and uncomfortable emotion. In this work, I sought to capture and express that very emotion.
