This work came out of a conversation about reason and instinct between my friend Suin and me. To me, the two feel like completely opposite ideas. However, I think one of the strengths of art is that it can express both at the same time. Because of that, we decided to place them together within a single work. In this piece, we used complementary colors—yellow and blue—and expressed the area where they overlap as green. The yellow area contains images and marks drawn purely by instinct, without planning or control.
