머리카락 입체 작업에서 엉겨 붙어 있던 유기적인 형태들은 평면 화면 위로 옮겨와 새로운 우주를 형성한다. 어린 시절 우리가 밤하늘을 바라보며 기분 좋은 상상을 펼치듯 3차원 속 머리카락의 결들은 붓끝을 거치며 아득하고 신비로운 성운이자 상상 속 미생물의 형태로 재탄생되었다. 어린 시절의 우리는 멀리 떨어져 있어도 마음만 먹으면 언제든 눈을 감고 또 다른 차원에서 친구나 상상 속 존재와 만날 수 있다고 믿었다. 화면 속에 뻗어 나가는 알록달록하고 몽환적인 형태들은 바로 그 시절 우리가 가졌던 순수한 연결감 즉 ’또 다른 우주에서 우리는 언제나 연결되어 있다‘는 동심의 다정한 환상을 시각화한 것이다. 어두운 배경과 대비되는 몽환적인 파스텔톤의 형태들은 묘한 기괴함과 동시에 몽글몽글한 동심의 상상력을 품고 있다. 끊어질 듯 연결되는 유기적인 선들은 현실의 한계를 넘어 또 다른 평행 우주(another universe)에서 여전히 손을 잡고 있을 ‘너와 나’, 그리고 ‘어린 시절의 나와 지금의 나’를 잇는 비밀스러운 통로가 된다. 이 연작은 버려진 허물과 흔적들이 어른이 된 우리의 무의식 속에서 어떻게 여전히 유기적으로 살아 숨 쉬며 또 다른 꿈의 우주로 확장되어 나가는지를 보여준다. The organic forms that entangled one another in the three-dimensional hair sculptures move onto the flat canvas to form a new universe. Just as we once gazed up at the night sky in childhood, weaving delightful imaginations, the strands of hair in three-dimensional space pass through the tip of a brush to be reborn as distant, mysterious nebulae and imaginary microorganisms. In our childhood, we believed that even when far apart, we could simply close our eyes whenever we wanted to meet a friend or an imaginary creature in another dimension. The colorful, dreamlike forms stretching across the canvas visualize that pure sense of connection we once possessed—a tender childhood fantasy that "in another universe, we are always connected." The dreamlike pastel forms, contrasting with the dark background, embrace both a subtle sense of the grotesque and the soft, glowing imagination of childhood. These organic lines, stretching as if about to snap yet holding on, cross the boundaries of reality to become secret passages connecting "you and I," as well as "my younger self and my present self," still holding hands in another universe. This series illustrates how discarded skins and traces continue to breathe organically within our adult subconscious, expanding outward into another universe of dreams.
